Situated ¼ mile south of Embleton village, on the edge of our traditional family farm at Embleton Mill, our cottages are an ideal base for exploring the Northumberland countryside and coastline. Watch the sun rise over the sea and set over the Cheviot Hills.

Lovely cottage in a lovely setting.

The Foremans

Embleton is a great base from which to explore the local beaches and castles, all situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  Embleton Mill is within easy distance of:

  • The country town of Alnwick, with its castle and the new Alnwick Garden.
  • Howick Hall with its wonderful garden and tearoom.
  • The picturesque fishing harbour of Seahouses to the north where you can catch a boat to visit the Farne Islands, famous for their puffins and seals.

Walk on unspoilt beaches, lunch in coastal pubs and discover the wide open spaces of the Cheviots. Let the majesty of Bamburgh inspire you or breathe the spiritual isolation of the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Explore the Borders or simply relax in our superbly appointed cottages. The choice is yours.
